Recently Indian Government has banned the 59 Chinese apps which includes most popular apps like tiktok, shareit, uc browser, camscanner etc. All this started because of current situation happening at the border side of India - china.
Why is TikTok banned? Is TikTok safe?
After focusing the privacy policy of some Chinese apps the government decided to ban these apps, because they were taking unnecessary permission like Contact, call log, location or other personal data permission from the users. For the sake of fun or entertainment user allows all the permission and this may harm the individual, company or country. So while allowing the access to apps you need to be very careful. After noticing these major aspects, the government decided to ban these apps. Let me explain you in easier form so that you will understand how such apps can steal your personal information or enterprise datas. There are multiple permission options are present in your smartphone some are important and some are not. Few apps take all the permission to work properly for example social media apps it asks for contact, call log, SMS, camera, microphone, location, storage, etc. But some apps like torch, whether, calculator etc. also ask for unnecessary permission of contact, camera and if have this type of apps you should delete the app or can deny unnecessary permissions. Because through these permissions they can collect your confidential information like your image through camera, your home, school, college, office address through location, language through microphone, bank details by reading SMS box.
The meaning of sharing this information is that Chinese government have full access to gain your information from any Chinese apps or any mobile device. Through this Chinese government may access India's confidential information this is the main reason behind banning the Chinese apps. Chinese companies are making money from India and using that money to harm India and world. After taking this major decisions by indian government many countries have started to ban chinese apps.
