Battery: "In simple word, we can say that it is power or energy storage which can be used in any electronic devices and are portable OR in short current generating device"

Battery have many sizes from small to large and have any shape depending upon requirements. Like very small batteries are used in wrist watch And large batteries can be used to give current to building, data center, operation theater etc as a backup plan in case of power loss.

A battery is consist of three parts anode(-), cathode(+), and electrolyte. When electrons (electrochemical cells) moves from anode to cathode or vice versa via electrolyte the energy gets produced in the form of current. In this way batteries works. Now days we are using rechargeable batteries which can be used many times whether it is installed in small toy or in any cars.

Till now we are using Lithium-ion as a electrolyte in conventional battery but there are many electrolytes such as nickel-metal-hybrid, nickel-zinc, nickel-cadmium etc. Lithium-ion batteries are most preferable in the market.

These days users are not satisfied with the battery capacity they want more capacity in small batteries size especially mobile phone users. Advanced devices also require high power and durability.

Why solid state batteries are better? 

Now you can say that wait is over because inventors are working on Solid State Battery technology which will full fill user’s/device requirements. In solid state batteries, solid electrolyte and solid electrodes are used instead of liquid or polymer gel electrolyte. Solid state batteries are tested in medical device, RFID and wearable devices such as laptop, mobile phone, torch etc. Solid state battery will improve the capacity and safety that's why researchers are taking longer time to develop proper mechanism for batteries so that it cannot be exploited. Many car companies are working on it so that it can be placed in electric cars to save fuel or to protect our environmental.

Solid state batteries are very useful and will help to support new technology. Solid state batteries are the future of conventional batteries.
